Mission: Transformation

YWOU is committed to transforming the entire Teso region through the power of education. In each of the region's 5 counties, we implement programs that provide clean drinking water, solar power to off-grid communities, and vocational training.

Our target: The most vulnerable girls—orphans, those in rural slums, and those subjected to forced labor or trafficking.

Barriers We Dismantle

• Economic: Loss of guardian income leading to food insecurity and lack of school fees.
• Physical: Unequal access to learning technologies and learning environments.
• Social & Health: Stigmatization of pregnant girls, toxic home environments, and lack of sexual health information.
